I was supposed to write an article about something that recently happened with one of the Pinoy ArchAngels group. But I decided not to. It’s better to leave it alone even though I really have lots to say so I just need to let it out and be general…lol…I think we just have to give peace a chance–and of course, it’s time to heal. We’ve been healing since American Idol and it seems we haven’t really stopped healing.

Like any other fanbases, DIFFERENCES can’t just not exist. HATING others is something recurrent. We cannot simply change what others think and can’t simply control what they feel. We have this group because we all love David Archuleta. He is THE connection. The common factor. And when it comes to the rest of our likes and dislikes, what we have are differences. Well, obviously, we have that difference. And that difference is someone I’ll choose not to mention. There. You have the clue. lol. That difference is out in the open—so out in the open that I can’t even get what the fuss was all about. We agree to disagree. That’s it. This is the end of it.

The important thing is we are one when it comes to David Archuleta. This is all that matters. Some friendships were built on this. I hope nothing, not even that difference, could change this.

We’ve been beaten. Bruised. Hurt. Ridiculed. And, insulted. But these negativities made us even stronger.

Much stronger than we could have ever imagined.

Just yesterday, around 10:30pm.. I received a message from mulder8scully5 that A Little Too Not Over You by our David Archuleta debuts on Philippine Radio… on Manila’s Hottest…Monster Radio RX 93.1…..

I went online to check if ALTNOY is really on the playlist and was really happy when DJ Tom Alvarez confirmed it…

I waited until 3am just to listen to it on the radio… and just like when I first heard CRUSH and TOUCH MY HAND… I’m teary eyed again…. And so proud of our David…

Now… barely 24hours from its official release on Manila radio… A Little Too Not Over You managed to enter RX’s Daily Survey at Number 5… A feat… only an ARCHIE can do…

So…. Congratulations to all Pinoy Archies/Arch Angels… the Archietects and the Archienoys for making this one possible… Good job everyone!!!

Happy Thanksgiving

Hey Guys! Just wanted to say that I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!! We were in New York this week, and I had a blast! Yesterday was the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and that was really exciting. I was on the Green Dog float, and there were tons and tons and tons of people on the sides. It was pretty chilly too, but I heard that it was a really nice day compared to previous years haha. I bundled and layered up as much as I could though. I sang Crush near the end, and a couple of songs played during our time going down the streets. And there’s a mouse in here. Sorry I know that was random, but I can hear it wandering around and it keeps squeaking. I didn’t think there would be mice here but I guess there are… But anyway. Some kids from the PBS show Fetch were on my float too, and they were really nice kids. I also got to meet a bunch of other people who were in the parade, and it was really great getting to meet and talk with them. Miranda Cosgrove from iCarly was there too, and it was really cool to see and talk to her again. The sad thing is that I didn’t have my camera or phone with me, so I didn’t get to take my own pictures. Someone that worked there was nice enough to let me borrow their camera though before the parade started and I took pictures on my float, and on the Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends float! I know I’m such a dork but that’s my favorite cartoon lol. I was so excited to see it because it wasn’t too far behind me. But they were going to send me the pictures sometime soon.
The night before Thanksgiving, my mom and I went to see the musical In The Heights, and it was pretty much PHENOMENAL. It is seriously like one of my favorite musicals now. It was great that my mom was able to come to this particular musical too because it’s full of Latin music. So we had a great time with that, and also got to meet some of the cast members from it. I definitely recommend it if you ever get the chance to see it! The cast from the musical was also in the parade and did a number. Oh, the night before we saw the musical, my mom and I watched Twilight. I never read the books but a bunch of my friends are really into it, and the movie’s been getting a bunch of hype so we decided to go see it. I actually really liked it. The weird thing is when we walked into the theater Crush was playing so we walked back out because it was so weird haha. But anyway my blogs always get insanely longer than I intend for them to be, so I’ll end for today. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

P.S. It was really fun to see all the signs you guys made during the parade! haha

It’s official! David’s website is up! When you type www.davidarchuleta.com, it now redirects you to his ning network page. It’s awesome to finally have a meeting place for ALL THE ARCHANGELS around the world. Hopefully, we’ll all get the hang of it.

Another great thing there is the members profile/page where everyone gets to have their own page, with friends, blogs, and all that shizzle.

It’s an exciting new phase of the development of our fanbase.

The SLOW SWITCH…

For months, American Idol winner David Cook was the favorite of Pinoys after the memorable rendition of Always be my baby. I thought Cook would continue his momentum until the end of this year but things slowly turn in favor of his runner-up,  David “Archie”  Archuleta.

One fateful night..
It was August 4, 2008, approximately 8pm, when DJ CJ of MAGIC 89.9 received a text from anonymous texter informing the station about CRUSH. He played it later and introduced it as ARCHULETA’s new track.

The hysteria that followed..
Few hours later, listeners responded and requested for CRUSH. The following night, DJ Josh Strike was bombarded by text request, prompting him to play CRUSH twice in his show. Since then, CRUSH became one of the most popular tracks. In a span of few weeks, five (5) stations were already playing it.  Crush became charttopper and people can’t stop humming with it.
Now, after 3 months, it was still a HIT! It is also a familiar tune for “masang Pinoy” since it was already  being played in “pangmasang istasyon” particularly WRR 101.9 forlife which happens to be the no.1  station for  masses.

Conquering even TV
CRUSH was used as background music for teen show “Lipgloss” in TV5 not just once but many times. It was also performed by Sam Milby, Bea Alonzo, John LLoyd Cruz and Toni Gonzaga.
THe music video for CRUSH was a charttopper at its best conquering MTV and MYX charts respectively.

The rebirth of ARCHIES...
With the release of CRUSH, ARHULETA fans regained strength and fought for him..and they won!

Turning Philippines upside down…
Truly, The Philippines slowly became an ARCHIEpelago.. David Archuleta became the new favorite in a slow but consistent way.. He turned the country and the rest of the world towards him and in favor of him.

ALTNOY Airs in Malasyia!

‘A Little Too Not Over You’ was on Fly FM radio in Malaysia last night! ALTNOY was aired as a new entry on ‘Most Wanted Chart’, which is a show based on daily music requests. Later, ALTNOY was aired on ‘Love it or Shove it.’ It is a show that allows listeners to vote via text messaging to decide which song they prefer. ALNOY was paired up against ‘Mad’ by Ne-yo. ALTNOY won!  YAY!

TMH in Davao!

We know ALTNOY is the next single, but surprisingly, on the way to the mall today, I plugged the auxilliary cord into my iPod so I could listen to the mp3′s from the AOL sessions in the car. Just as You Can was about to end, my iPod died and the car stereo automatically switched to the radio signal. I was so surprised and extremely excited to hear TMH on 99.5 Monster Radio (local RX Station)! Apparently, it was the 2nd time it was played in less than 2 hours as Obi already heard it on his way to pick me up from my place. Ha! That’s like an overdose in airplay for a very new song – and one which isn’t even a single, yet. I can’t explain how happy and proud I felt to hear it on my local station!
