Frankierox (idf) started this “David’s Band Fanclub” thread at IDF, and I must say I do love David’s band! They seem like a bunch of nice guys, and they did exceptionally well at the AOL sessions! I love rawked-out TMH! I freakin’ loved TMH. Omigosh I can’t stop fangirling over TMH.

Anyway, we know (almost) everything about our David and maybe it’s great we pay some attention to his band too – their names, nationalities, ages, more pictures, history and all that shizzle. If you guys have any trivia and info about them, do post them in our comments area.

Here’s a quick snap from excite (idf):

Looks like we have a diverse group, though I’m sure Mr. Touch-My-HAUND  aka lead guitarist is a Brit, haha. I like Mr. Bass Player too, not only cause I’m a bass player myself, but cause he’s pretty cute haha. I like all of them, in fact, cause they did a fantastic job at the AOL sessions!

We need to think of what to call them though, while David hasn’t though of any yet. Maybe we should give them an idea. These are the band names of some famous past artists (thanks to Autumne (idf) for the list):

- Lionel Richie and the Commodores
- Smokey Robinson and the Miracles
- Gladys Knight and the Pips
- Diana Ross and the Supremes
- Martha Reeves and the Vandellas
- David Archuleta and the _________?

Some idf-ers hav suggested nutterbutters, omygoshashleys, waterboys, lettuceboys, etc.

FOD suggests David and the Dangit’s. Haha

Jin suggests David and the Prisoners of Archkaband. Double Haha!

For now, I’ll call them the Archuband. But be sure to tell us what you think would be the best and most witty band name!

Great read! David talks about hanging out with Jordin, fanboying over Mraz and lots more.

After making it through an entire season of ‘American Idol,’ where he finished as the runner-up to David Cook, 17-year-old David Archuleta is at home in front of the camera. Despite performing most of his AOL Sessions songs today, including the sure to be audience favorite ‘Touch my Hand,’ for the first time, and his hit single, ‘Crush,’ for just the second time, Archuleta nails the songs like a seasoned vet. When he sits down, however, to talk to AOL about Cook, being on both side of the fan/artist relationship and his friendship with Jordan Sparks, Archuleta is the happy, go-lucky teenager that reflects his age. It’s both refreshing and contagious.

Which ‘Idol’ contestant were you most excited to meet?

There’s not one person I can really think of that I didn’t feel [excited], because it’s just like, “I’ve listened to you and I love your songs, or I’ve watched you before and now you’re right here.” It’s just weird and sometimes your jaw drops. When you listen to them so much, you kind of forget that they’re real people.

Have you had that experience yet where someone comes up to you, and they have that same response you’re talking about?

Yeah, it’s always weird when people start crying when they meet you ’cause you just feel like same David Archuleta that you’ve always been. I always got confused when people don’t say anything. But then you have that same experience with other people. I went to a Jason Mraz concert and we got to meet him after the show, and I had that moment where it was just like, “Um, uh.” I can’t believe this because Jason Mraz is one of my favorite singers ever, and there he was and he’s so nice and friendly. I didn’t know what to say, I felt so stupid.

He just did a little interview! He was all bundled up… He’s got a warmed jacket, a scarf, and a beanie on. The guy asked him if he had his wave worked out for the parade, and they both started practicing a wave.
