The Archietects, a DJ, and a Pancake House!
Yet another Archangels get together, now it’s about a DJ! GTs aren’t new in the Archuleta world. The Archietects and the Archienoys have met a couple of times already—simple GTs to radio invite to huge Birthday celebrations. Just today, we had another Get Together! So, why another Get Together? LoL. Initially, we just thought it would be cool to invite DJs who have treated David Archuleta and his fans really well. The reason? Well, we really had no idea until after this fun event. We realized that we would like, do something good in return to show how we appreciate their kindness and support. It’s something David would do—let them know how thankful he is for their support. And, it’s something really great to do—something we would be proud of and something he would be proud if he knew.
They were supposed to be two DJs but we weren’t able to get the confirmation last Friday…so we only got to meet and treat 1 DJ–a cool DJ of course! DJ Christi of RX 93.1! She rocks! <–This is the first thing I could say about her…
She’s really cool!
Archietects, comment up! What do you think of DJ Christi? What would you like to say? Let us know! Let her know!

My Hopes Came Crashing Down
My mom and I were talking. Just about anything and everything under the sun. Ummm.. Well mostly it was about David though. I just can’t get enough talking about him . Well I was telling her how fansites work, how I felt posting articles, and I showed her the playing cards linda sent (thanks linda!). I also showed her Larissa and Tes’ pics with David which were included in the set. I then half-jokingly told her that I should apply for a US visa and tell them that I’m going to see David on tour. She then said “That’s a great idea! You can pay your godmother a visit and ask her for tips on how you can work there”. I was like OMD! She’s seriously thinking of letting me go to the US! I was floating on air and getting giddy at the prospect of the possibility of seeing david live.
We were looking at tickets online from here to the US and I was thinking that if my mom complained that the tickets were too expensive I’d offer to pay half of the fare by using my life savings (LOL). Anyway after a while my mom’s bestfriend (my other godmother) called and they talked for a looooong time. I was getting nervously impatient waiting for them to hang up so we could continue planning. My mom then hung up (finally!) and she then faced me and told me to forget about it. I think my face dropped and I wanted to cry so bad. I asked her “why?”. She told me that she talked about it with my godmother and my godmother said that it would be diffucult for me to be granted a US visa because of my age, course (tell me again why I took up nursing. why?), and etc. I asked what about the part where i tell the interviewers that I’m going there to see David Archuleta? (I was already whining here). She said that my godmother told her that the interviewers would say “You would spend thousands just to see that person? Who would do that?”. While I was saying “Oh!” I was thinking at the back of my mind “I would, Oh I would”. My godmother said a lot of people have been denied a US visa for that purpose. *sob*
My mom then said that it wasn’t worth it coz we have to spend $200 for the application and a few thousand more for the trip to Manila (where the embassy’s located) and for the hotel for possibly nothing. *Sigh*. I hugged her and told her okay. I must’ve looked like such a loser coz she sent me sympathetic looks for most of the day.
Maybe now’s really not the time. So until then. Will be waiting for that day to come.
Solo Tour Updates + My Own Booking Experience!
Three Tour Stops Already SOLD OUT!
Snarkys is reporting that Sayreville,Madison and Chicago are ALL SOLD OUT! Chicago sold out in 15 minutes and Madison sold out in 45 minutes!
Wow, David, you never cease to amaze me! And double wow archangels, for you ARE a crazy fanbase lol.
Beaumont ALMOST Sold Out!
This is one tour stop that most IDF Angels thought wouldn’t sell well, but whaddayaknow, Q94 reports that the tickets are almost sold out! Wow! Click on the cap if you want to see it on their page.
My Own Ticket Booking Experience
So, my boyfriend recently moved to the US to study, and he happened to live in California. So he asked me if David had any tour stops near their place, and apparently Pomona was like a 2-hour drive away. So we checked at Ticketmaster, and Pre-sale Tickets SOLD OUT before we even got one (and we needed 5!)
Around 4:20am here, (that’s around noon time in the East Coast), Ticket sales opened again, and I was one of the many who immediately rampaged through their website for tickets. Perhaps the dozens of fans trying to buy tickets crashed their server as it kept saying tickets were all sold out one minute, while some fans were posting on message boards they already got theirs.
Since he was at a school orientation, I had to book the tickets for him and his family all the way from the Philippines! How bizarre is that? It took me an hour to finally buy the tickets, because around 11 or so tickets fell into and left my hands (not literally) as they kept getting “given” to other purchasers.
I could’ve gotten a nervous breakdown, i swear, as every page form warned you that you had only “1:45 minutes to accomplish” the said form or the tickets were going to be released to other purchasers.
But thank the good Lord and all things Archuleta, I finally got 5 tickets for my friend and his family. Yup, among the 5 tickets, none actually goes to me since I’m stuck in good old Philippines.

Tickets are sold at 23$, but if you notice the bill, the total amounts to 167$. It doesn’t take for you to be a math geek to notice the seeming error, lol, but each ticket had extra charges, and one of them is a “convenience” charge of 9$. How inconvenient.
Well, I hope this story will give AP a shoutout from David come March 17. Hahaha. Hey Rob, that’s not a request, that’s a demand. *wink*
So Random: Just Archugiddiness
Got a message this morning. It was one of those text messages from the Globe network (2346 is globe right? *shrug*). Anyway I delete those messages without even reading it. But today something caught my eye. The words “A little too not over U (David Archuleta)” stopped me in my tracks. So yeah. Only 3 song/names were mentioned.
1. Single Ladies (beyonce)
2. A little too not over you (David Archuleta) <—-*fangirly screan*
3. Be the one (the ting tings)
So yeah (I keep saying yeah! Must be my favorite word. LOL) I just had another one of those moments. “Archie is larger than life” hit me hard again and sent me reeling backwards. I was just so giddy that I was smiling sweetly at my cellphone and my laptop screen. Yeah (here it is again) so that sums it all up. Told you it was random. Before you go watch “ALTNOY” first. I still haven’t gotten enough of this. Haha
I just realized there were 2 ALTNOY vids on his official page. What the? Anyway I was gonna embed those but “embedding disabled by request”. Dang it! I forgot. So i’ll just post his pictures. It isn’t related to the vid, but yeah (told you) it’s still David Archuleta. My one and only idol and inspiration. I shall stop now. Ciao.
This isn’t his pic but whatever
Now we’re talking! Here’s David with his signature “peace sign” pose

Oh and if you want to watch the vid again and again (like me). Click here
Frank Nicotero “Auditions” for AI, singing Crush
Crush, well, not really, on Yahoo Primetime
Frank Nicotero of Primetime Yahoo “auditions” for this season, and sings Crush. While wearing a shirt that says he’s the next Archuleta.
I just about died of laughter seeing this clip. The David part starts at about 1:30+ through the video. Click on either of the caps below to go watch the video.
Okay, so he didn’t really audition, I know, but isn’t it amazing how everyone wants to be David? It’s just awesome. I mean, he didn’t even win!

Catching Up With David Archuleta
David Archuleta within driving distance? We’re there! Since Archie was back in Hollywood last weekend to shoot a performance for the Nickeleodeon hit show iCarly, we decided to pop by the set and catch up with last season’s American Idol runner-up. We arrived to to find David and iCarly star Miranda Cosgrove knee-deep in taping promos for his guest-starring role (airing Feb. 7), which can only be described as moments of acute awkwardness. But he got the hang of it soon enough, and even hinted later that there could be more acting gigs in his future. After performing two songs for the network’s “Crush Night” (his first hit, “Crush,” and second single, “A Little Too Not Over You”), David sat down to talk to us about this new phase in his life, and what may come next (a duet with Miranda?!). Read on for our exclusive (and classic Archie) Q&A…
First off, how were your holidays?
It was so nice to be home because I haven’t hung out with my brothers and sisters for so long. They’ve changed a lot over the year, and I didn’t even notice. My 12-year-old sister has really matured. And my 9-year-old sister, well, she’s kind of the same, but my brother’s even taller. It was great to catch up with them and see what they’re into because I didn’t realize how out of the loop I was. It’s like, you don’t appreciate how busy you are until you come back and realize, “Woah, I missed a lot of my family life!” So I’ve been spending time with the family. My birthday is between Christmas and New Year’s, so we all went to Las Vegas together, saw “Blue Man Group,” you know…And you were at the inauguration in D.C.?
I sang the National Anthem at the Latino gala, which was fun. Obama didn’t come by, but there were a lot of cool people there. I got to meet Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony and they were super nice. They’re some of the most well-known Latino people and were just so warm, welcoming and embracing to everyone. I was shocked that they knew who I was, but they watched the show! Marc was saying, “She calls you her other man and normally, if she did that, I would kick their… But you’re OK.” I was, like, “Awesome!”So here we are on an entirely different kind of stage. How did you like your guest-starring experience on iCarly? Did Miranda give you pointers?
I didn’t really ask for any. It’s kind of like, the more you do it, the more you get the hang of it and find your own way of acting. I hope to do more acting — nothing too fancy or serious, more fun like this. But it’s amazing to see how Miranda is in person, because she plays pretty nasty characters sometimes, like on Drake and Josh and in School of Rock. But we had a great time and I love hanging out with her. It’s nice to work with someone who’s in a similar situation, because Miranda has a record deal, too. She’s hoping to have an album out this summer, and told us she’d love to do a song with you.
Like a duet? That would be way cool.Speaking of duets, you had your younger brother Daniel play with you at Sundance. Can we expect to see a repeat on your upcoming tour?
I don’t know. That was kind of an experiment to see how it would go, and my brother still has some work to do. But it would be cool to have him come out on tour and play with me. It’s more special that way, when you have someone who means a lot to you up there on that stage. And the thing about Sundance was, he got to experience a little bit of what I went through.Any plans to pull a Jason/Michael Castro move on a future season of Idol?
Idol is not his thing, really. He just likes to play guitar and stuff, he doesn’t have that big American Idol voice. Plus, he already has his own fans. A video he put up on YouTube got over 100,000 views, which is crazy. How are you liking the more positive Idol so far this season?
I like it a lot. I still feel bad for people who do bad, but I’m so happy about the new setup and that Kara Dioguardi is there, because she has a lot of knowledge, experience and spunk. And she knows what she’s looking for. You’ve called her tough before. Was she like that working with you in the studio?
She just told it like it was. She’s that kind of person — really forward, but easy to talk to and work with. She and Simon do seem to clash a lot. When it comes time to voting, who do you think viewers will listen to?
Simon. People still put their trust in Simon, where they’ve kind of built their foundation on what Simon says. Like even if they like something, they’ll change their mind if Simon says it’s terrible. Or vice versa. He has a strong influence on people. But I think will Kara will shake that up a little because she’s new and has really caught people’s interest. Plus, she has a lot more experience with writing. But we’ll have to see whether they agree with each other. I’m sure they’ll try to have some tension there to liven things up. No matter what, it’ll be good for the show. This year, they’re also having the Top 12 live in one house. How do you think that would have played out on your season?
A house together with, like, guys and girls? That’s kind of risky. I think it would’ve been tough. We had roommates, but I like my privacy. Especially with performing; you’re out there in front of everyone and meeting so many people and smiling for so many pictures, it’s nice to have a moment where it’s no one but yourself. The we-all-live-here-it’s-all-fair-game kind of thing? I don’t know.Any plans for you to perform on the show this season?
I haven’t been approached yet, but I’d like to, even though it will be kind of weird to be back on that stage.
Crush #1 on Billboard’s Hot Singles Recurrents
WOW. Just WOW!
From Wiki:
“Hot 100 Singles Recurrents is a music chart published weekly by Billboard magazine. This chart ranks singles that have reached Billboard recurrent criteria. Billboard describes a Hot 100 recurrent as a song which has spent twenty weeks on the Hot 100 and has fallen below position fifty. The scope of this chart is to highlight songs that continue to receive significant airplay on U.S. radio stations well past their peak in mainstream popularity, while keeping the turnover of the main Hot 100 chart as fresh and current as possible.”

Wow, this iCarly promotion is CRAZZZZZZZZZY!
Way to go Nickelodeon!
From NickPress:
Nickelodeon’s pre-Valentine’s “Crush Night” is music to kids’ ears when teen “Idol” David Archuleta takes on his newest challenge: The crush-worthy singing sensation makes his acting debut on the mega-hit iCarly, and helps kick off all-new episodes of back-to-back romance-themed primetime premieres, Saturday, February 7 (8-9:30 p.m. ET/PT). Archuleta, whose hit single “Crush” is topping the Billboard charts, teams up with iCarly headliner Miranda Cosgrove to celebrate teen romance as they host the night from the set of iCarly. Archuleta performs his current hit “Crush” (February 7) and his new single, “A Little Too Not Over You” — debuting the new tune on TV within Nick’s Crush Night encore, Sunday, February 15 — in front of adoring fans, and the duo also unveils premieres of iCarly, True Jackson, VP and The Naked Brothers Band.
Archuleta, 17, affirms his first acting gig was enjoyable and came with a couple of perks. “I was nervous and thought I’d be awful, but it felt really comfortable and came pretty easily since I was allowed to play myself. With ‘iCarly’ I got to hang out with kids my own age for a change, and that was a real bonus.” An added plus was the network itself. “I’m a huge fan of Nickelodeon’s, and two of my favorite shows growing up were Kenan & Kel and All That, so it was especially cool to make my acting debut on a Nick show.” (I looooove Kenan & Kel!)
Crush Night will encore on Sunday, February 15 as part of Nickelodeon’s Spectacular Presidents’ Weekend, as Archuleta and Cosgrove also answer crush-related questions submitted by the nick.com audience, and Archuleta performs his new single for the first time on TV.
