Anyway, SLC auditions aired, and yes, there were NO David Archuletas. (duh!) I still hate how AI downplayed David though.

Way to go Ryan. NOT! #2 on the billboard charts, #1 on iTunes (Vid, Single, etc) and Nearly-doubleplatinum status? You have GOT to be kidding me.

And since I’m a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge Aero fan, this news is pure love. David is an aero boy. Lovvessss it.

Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford, along with David Archuleta, Shailene Woodley and a slew of other celebs are taking part in this years Teens For Jeans with Aéropostale and DoSomething.org. The campaign aims to raise awareness on the growing number of homeless teens in the United States and Canada by empowering teens nationwide to collect jeans for homeless youth. “This year, we want to collect over 200,000 pairs of jeans,” Chace says. NICKELODEON CRUSHES ON DAVID

David will be appearing on Nickelodeon two weeks in a row, says this article.

Apparently, David will make his acting debut on iCarly when “Crush Night” airs February 7 and will then co-host with Miranda Cosgrove the following week in a “Crush Night” encore. David will be performing “Crush” on the episode that airs February 7th, and “A Little Too Not Over You” on February 15th.

Kicking off the New Year right, iCarly and True Jackson, VP are the new number-one and number-two kids’ programs, respectively, on all of television with K6-11 and T9-14, as Nickelodeon ended the month of January as the clear leader with kids and tweens. iCarly averaged 11.1/2.4 million K6-11 and 10.2/2.2 million T9-14. True Jackson, VP averaged 7.8/1.6 million K6-11 and 7.0/1.5 million T9-14.

Archuleta, 17, affirms his first acting gig was enjoyable and came with a couple of perks. “I was nervous and thought I’d be awful, but it felt really comfortable and came pretty easily since I was allowed to play myself. With ‘iCarly’ I got to hang out with kids my own age for a change, and that was a real bonus.” An added plus was the network itself. “I’m a huge fan of Nickelodeon’s, and two of my favorite shows growing up were Kenan & Kel and All That, so it was especially cool to make my acting debut on a Nick show.”

So I seriously had the best time on Sunday! I was invited to Nickelodeon studios to watch Miranda Cosgrove and David Archuleta film promotional segments for their super crush-tastic “Crush Night” special on Nickelodeon Feb. 7th and 15th! Not only is David guest starring on the episode in his acting debut, but I got to witness him sing his new single “A Little Too Not Over You,” which you can see during “Crush Night” on Feb. 15th! After a couple hours of filming i got the chance to sit down and chat with Miranda and David who had a blast working together. Miranda said David is a natural at acting and David said he felt like he was just hanging out with Miranda for a few days, he had so much fun!

At last, the long wait is over. “American Idol’s” chosen one David Archuleta is set to meet his public. On his MySpace blog, David announced a list of off-the-beaten path intimate venues where he’ll be taking his solo show on its first outing. Warning to concertgoers however: The smaller rooms mean that the screams of the ‘tween girls can reverberate forever. Arrive with your eardrums well-protected.

David Archuleta Announces Tour

David Archuleta is hitting the road next month. So far, 20 dates have been announced. I went through a lot to get them for you. The logical first stop was what appears to be his official website, which, I found out, you have to be approved to even view. My “membership” is pending approval. Seeing that graphic pop up on the screen was a moment of reckoning, like when I realized that Facebook announced to my friends that “Mandi listened to David Archuleta’s ‘Crush.’” (It didn’t show up right away in my the feed, so I thought I got away with it. I went to bed, and had to delete it the next morning. You just know someone programmed that delay on purpose.) I wonder if Archie’s lost any casual fans because they visited the website, and just couldn’t bring themselves to leave a trail. Anyone? Why must “Crush” be so darn catchy, and make us so happy that the boy no one thought could be a contemporary artist found a way?

DJ Suzy of Magic 89.9 is no stranger in the Archuworld. She knows we, the Archietects and Archienoys, exist even before her colleagues knew about us. And, who could forget what DJ Suzy did for us? Jumped onto the fountain for CRUSH? (Thanks nette!) Last year, she even invited us to visit Magic. With this, we paid her a visit and just recently, one of the Archietects, Nette.Kulet, dropped by their station to claim her tickets which she recently won (and brought some goodies!). With our surprise, just a few hours ago, DJ Suzy paid us a visit! In the Archietects’ Thread at Pinoy Exchange! WOW! Who could have thought this could happen!

American Idol (US) vs Ray Quinn (UK)

Quinn and Archuleta were natural born entertainers already with showbiz history. Archuleta had appeared on talent shows as a tween while Quinn had spent three years on Channel 4 soap Brookside. It’s early days but Archuleta’s pop career looks likely to be more successful than the showman scouser currently to be found as Doody in Grease.

David Archuleta tour dates

“American Idol” runner-up and Utah’s favorite son David Archuleta has announced his first solo U.S. tour.

Right now Salt Lake City is not on the itinerary.

In fact, there are no Utah dates. The closest venues are in Idaho — Boise and Idaho Falls. Oh, and he is playing Reno, Nev.

That’s funny to me, but I’m warped.

The tour starts in Virginia Beach, Va., on Feb. 24 and runs through the Boise date on March 21.

But Archie fans shouldn’t fret. I bet he’ll schedule a homecoming date sometime after the Boise show.

In the meanwhile, here is the current list of David’s tour dates. Make note that Lesley Roy, Archuleta’s Jive records label mate, will open the show
