This is one of the touching stories about David ive ever read. I found this at ArchuletaFanScene and made my heart tickle for David again! Take a read and find out why i called this article “Sweet David“.

IS DAVID REAL? That’s the question my son Michael (6 years old) asked me few weeks ago when we were watching David Archuleta’s summer tour videos from YouTube.

Last July 12, I sent a request to Bianca from Team Archie (24/7) through email to do the following:

1. print my letter to David
2. put it in an envelope
3. insert a returned envelope (with stamp)
4. write my return address, and
5. insert a blank A4 paper

Bianca was coming to M&G and watch David in Seattle (July 14) and she was very kind enough to do the things I’ve requested (or demanded ). (Thanks a lot, Bianca!) To make the story short, I received David’s reply last July 24, Friday afternoon. I COULDN’T BELIEVE IT!!! My hands were trembling a little bit. I showed it to my three kids. Michael exclaimed, “Mama, David is really real?!” I guess he understood that David is really a person, not just someone he sees on computer screen. He understands the concept that someone is really a person or a live person when he/she sends a letter because he receives letters from his Auntie Baby in Chicago and from his Lola (grandmother) in the Philippines.

Then the next day, I showed David’s letter to Gaby, best friend of my daughter. Gaby is 13 years old. She screamed for two minutes reading then kissing the letter. She asked for a scanned copy so she could show it to her friends in school. She said that David is really COOL.

What can I say? David is a very nice young man. He cares about his fans. He took time to write something to me and my family
and it was so personal. I know he spends time reading all the fan letters, looking and appreciating the gifts from his fans, and replying to them. What a genuine, sincere, loving person! Can’t find enough words to describe him.

Please find attached scanned copy of the letter and the envelope. For someone like me who might not be able to have a chance to see him in person and hear him sing live, the letter means a lot to me and my family. We will treasure it. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, DAVID! God bless you!

In his recent blog, we see an extraordinaire David — a humble and down-to-earth individual { and all the other positive adjectives you can think of }. It’s very interesting to know that amidst his busy schedule, he finds time to nurture and mold his connection with the Divine. He becomes a living example of the values espoused by his religion. You don’t need to witness a multiplication of breads&fishes into a thousandfolds, nor be a doubting Thomas who needs a tangible evidence, to convince yourself that he really is religious.

This is what I like about David Archuleta aside from his angelic and soothing face. The beauty that we see from the outside emanates from within his inner self.

Take a look at the places he’d been to on his recent dayoff…

David Archuleta said he went to Far West Missouri, and the history in that is that the Early Latter-day Saints began to settle in northwestern Missouri soon after the Mormon church was organized in 1830. According to a revelation given by Joseph Smith Jr., Independence, (the other place that David mentioned), would be the “center place” of the City of Zion when Jesus returned.

Kirtland Temple

Owned and operated by the Community of Christ, formerly the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the house of worship was the first temple to be built by the Latter Day Saint movement.

The Nauvoo Temple was the second temple constructed by Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, commonly known as the Mormons. The church’s first temple was completed in Kirtland, Ohio, United States in 1836. When the main body of the church was forced out of Nauvoo, Illinois in the winter of 1846, the church attempted to sell the building, finally succeeding in 1848. The building was damaged by fire and a tornado before being demolished.

In 1937, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints reacquired the lot on which the original temple had stood. The Church built a temple on the original site whose exterior is a replica of the first temple, but whose interior is laid out like a modern Latter-day Saint temple. On 27 June 2002, this new temple was dedicated as the Nauvoo Illinois Temple.
