Helloooooo!!! I understand that some people are a bit surprised that here I am… posting articles again. LOL. Well, the past three months had been very different for me. I had to keep up with the requirements of my job, etc etc… Still now, I am super busy! But when you’ve got stories waiting to be shared to everyone, you’ll find time to squeeze in 3000 words to tell that tale.

So yesterday, I started by doing a recap of my day1. Please take note that as I go along each of the 6 days, it becomes more and more difficult to talk about all these. So far, I think I’m doing a good job! I haven’t been sobbing on my pillows and I haven’t woken up wailing because of a dream (a sweet dream, that is, not a nightmare!) Maybe I’m coming close to that, but please, let’s hope NOT. Before I worry about that, let us move on to the second day of My David Archuleta experience! Read on…

Woke up at around 5:30am. Thanks to my alarm clock! And good thing I didn’t have a hang-over from the previous night. So we (Ate Naree, Karissa, Irish and I) prepared for another D day!

At around 6:30AM, we went to the buffet hall to have breakfast. Okay, I’m usually weight-conscious but when I get really tense and excited, I REALLY EAT A LOT> I had potatoes, omelet, bread (lots of bread, being the bread monster that I am!) and fruits. What I ate doesn’t exactly have any direct bearing to the story. But hey, I ate a lot because I was sooo excited for the “Meet and Greet” event at MOA! Not only that, I was also hopint to see David Archuleta that morning!

At around 7:30AM, two American guys went to the buffet hall… Two familiar American guys… And then POOF! I had been told that they were Alex (David’s other guitarist) and Johnny B (we didn’t know then that he was THE sound master, the adorable sound master!) Ate Naree and I decided to give those to them with a note that says, “Welcome to Manila! Enjoy your stay here!” Of course, both of them smiled at us. Aww! Alex and Johnny were really sooo nice! They gave us a noted that says something like, “Ladies, thank you so much! The Philippines is such a warm and hospitable country!” That was really so sweet of them! This very cool waiter on the other hand, reserved the table next to them for us. According to him, David Archuleta MIGHT go down for breakfast. But.. Well, no he did not.. Guess he’s on a jet lag, unlike his band members, LOL.

So I left for work at around 9AM (Dang, I HAD to be LATE!) while looking forward to that afternoon when we can finally “meet and greet” David Archuleta. I just asked Pet and Nette (oh, my lovely Archusisters!!!) to buy my green bags and have a seat reserved for me since I definitely had to finish my work. Time was really running so sloooow in the office. When it was around 4PM, I left for the SM Mall of Asia for the “Meet and Greet”.

I arrived at around 4:30 and oh man… I could not believe what I saw! Not tens, not hundreds, but THOUSANDS of people at the Atrium and up to the 2nd floor of MOA – all carrying green bags to meet and greet BB D! Everyone was sooo loud and excited! I believe there were 3 false alarms that he was already there. General instruction was, don’t stand on the chairs, don’t block the walkway… But during the false alarms – damn those rules! It was 5 minutes before 5PM when the security gave up on us. They decided to just block the red carpet walkway where D was supposed to walk!

At around 5PM, the 3 Magic 89.9 BNO djs announced the arrival of David Archuleta! And I tell you, the screams were louder than the UAAP cheers! LOL.

He was wearing a simple purple shirt (my favorite color, while I was wearing his favorite color then!). He was really very simple, but his skin glowed and he was like an angel! I could not resist the temptation so I pushed my way to the front row and SCREAMED with Karissa, Ate Naree, Tita Ditas, Che and Louise. Omigosh, he was really sooo cute! And he looked so nice and friendly! His voice and gestures were exactly the way they were on videos I watched! Oh… He was perfection personified! (I am really fangirling here… LOL) He was like 5 to 7 feet away from me, and my instincts told me to do one thing… One thing that changed my day.

I looked at him in the eye, as if persuading him to look back at me, and gave my best smile and wave… And in an instant, he pointed at me, gave me the BEST smile I have ever seen and said “Hey, hi!” as he waved at me! Time didn’t just slow down that moment, but LITERALLY stopped as I savoured the moment. My FIRST EVER MOMENT with David! I know that was just simple but I am really very happy with that! Imagine, in a SEA of people, he spotted me! Aww David! ILY ya know?

My moment had to end when I felt my hair being pulled so violently by someone from my left side! Yeah, you know who you are CHE!!! I was trying so hard to capture that moment on video and you had to shake me out of the moment as you shouted “I hate you! I hate you!” LOL. Well, at least somebody got to see how he said hi and how he waved at me for 5 seconds!

The videos from the “meet and greet” are all out on youtube anyway, so you all know what questions were asked and more importantly, WERE NOT asked (because the three djs were too star struck to say a thing?) Let me just share my second favorite moment here. The part where he said, “Mahal kita” and he shrugged his left shoulder… Sooooooo cute! David, you are cute enough! No need to do that , it’s killing ussss!!

“Meet and greet” was more of a greet and bye. It lasted for only about 3 to 5 minutes (while the people waited since 10AM) or even earlier!) but it was pretty cool to see the number of people who bought bags to see him! Overwhelming and touching, coming from a fan who has supported him right from the start!

Sooo back to the hotel. I had to go back to get my stuff from Ate Naree. Waited at the lobby where Mike saw me and approached me to ask where we had gone the previous night. LOL. Bottomline: he remembered me. It was already late when I got my stuff. Tita Ditas even had her moment when she bumped into D and she came back to the room looking stunned and speechless. LOL. I decided to go home at around 10:30PM and man… was I so lucky?

The elevator doors opened to reveal (Daddy) Jeff Archuleta talking to a group of fans! Of course, we joined the group! He knew Karissa so he talked to her for a while and then he turned to ME. What he said really drove me crazy. He told me I looked familiar and he kept insisting for two or three minutes that I might have gone to one of their concerts in the States! These was the exact conversation:

Jeff: So you too were in our shows in the States am I correct?
Jen: Err.. Sorry?
Jeff: You attended one of our shows in the States?
Jen: Um, no. I live here, never been to the States.
Jeff: Oh, really? Hmm, you kind of look familiar.
Jen: Oh is that so?
Jeff: Yeah. (pauses) Are you sure you haven’t been to any of our shows there? Or anywhere?
Jen: Yes Sir. (thinks, come on, I would know!)
Jeff: Alright then.. Coz you really look familiar.
Jen: You must have mistaken me for somebody else.
Jeff: Hmm.. Who was that with you Karissa before?
(And they talked and didn’t really get a thing)
Jeff: *turning back to me* Well, yeah, maybe I was thinking of somebody else.

LOL. You know how that could be funny? A friend (psychologist) told me once, and Kricket also told me after I shared this to her, that when a person thinks you look familiar, it means that he finds you attractive! So tell me (Daddy) Jeff, am I attractive enough for your kid? Haha, kidding!

And so the night ended with me getting a hug from Daddy Jeff and being able to give him Filipino goodies that I bought for him and D. The gift actually included two letters that I wrote for D (one was from the previous day, and the other one was for that day) Ihope he got to read those… You’ll get to hear more of “letter stories” later on.

We got a video of Daddy Jeff saying, “Mahal ko kayo…Salamat po!” And yeah, we got a pic with him and Johnny, the very cool guy Johnny! This picture definitely says a thousand words that I cannot express right now. All I know is that I have so many people to thank, and so much to thank for! Thanks to Jeff for being warm and for talking to me, to D’s band members for being extra nice, and to David, for my first moment with him – for spotting me in a sea of people! That’s definitely one moment that made last week…A week like no other! Tomorrow, have a taste of Day3 – the big SIS and EB Day!
