Hey Lovely David Fans!

It’s been one week out on the David vs. Goliath CRUSH MS: Find the Cure project. Thanks for the support so far. In less than a week between both sites (Facebook cause and MS site) we have raised almost $2000! Awesome. Everyone says we need a fundraising goal so ~

GOAL: Another $2000 this week!

I had some thoughts about this last night. And I haven’t made a list in so long that I’m itching to make one. So here goes.

1. The $2000 was donated by a relatively few people. YAY relatively few people!! In contrast, there are about 270 people who have joined the Cause on Facebook. What if everyone who joined actually donated $10?? BAM -- $2000!

2. We also understand that everyone can’t donate. No problem! Can you recruit someone to the Cause who CAN donate? Probably! Just a thought. You’re still helping and you’re still awesome!

3. I did this scary thing. I added up how much money I have spent in the last year on concert tickets, t-shirts, CD’s, downloading i-tunes, plane tickets to see concerts, hotel bills, food, and entertaining David fans this past year. Then I added the cost of my Flip video to that total. EEEEEEK! I do not recommend that you do that. EXCEPT -- - -- just a thought. What if you donated 10% of what you spent in the last year to the Cause? Or 5%? Or a smaller portion? BAM – more money! My 10% alone would almost get us to goal. Oops.

4. Along the same lines: Do you have multiple tickets or multiple VIP passes to see David this summer? What if you sold your ticket to someone who hasn’t had the chance or as many chances to see him as you have and donated that money to the Cause? Yes, BAM again! Boggles the mind doesn’t it?

5. I did actually give David some gifts this year. Did you? I understand the compulsion to share your love in this way. But, what if you did not buy him that t-shirt or that jacket or that organic food or that scarf or those shoes or that stuffed animal or laptop or lip balm or hand lotion and donated that money instead? I mean the boy can’t even sleep in his room he has so many gifts. I ask you, does he need another random kitchen gadget? I say no. He DOES however LOVE it when his fans give to charity in his name. Tweet him if you don’t believe me.

6. Speaking of gifts: For this Cause, if you donate you will receive a wristband like David wore in SLC. I am collecting pictures of everyone wearing the wristband – and it can just be an arm shot if you want, doing something you love, like playing the piano, or playing tennis, or eating Thai food or holding your ipod – whatever. I know you’re creative. If you want to be included, I will use the pictures of the wristband plus tributes and comments people have shared, with your name included in a summary to be given to David. Plus you can show him your band if you see him this summer. He would rather see that and what it represents than get another avocado slicer.

7. We’re just getting started! Contrary to what you might think, I am not impatient. We will be here for a long time, so if you can’t donate right now, save up those pennies and donate when you can. Skip a latte or two this week and watch David on Hannah this weekend instead of going to see her movie. You’ll be at $10.00 or more in no time.

Plus, we are also going to be auctioning off A.M.A.Z.I.N.G things in the near future, so there will be more chances to participate. There will be other ideas and projects coming along as well, because David fans are among the most generous and creative people on the planet. I am in awe of what has been coming to my inbox in the form of ideas for this Cause.

8. We know you’ve been asked to give and give and give some more. Sounds a little like what David does. So I’m gonna’ ask anyway!
