Questions submitted by friends/fans from Archuleta Avenue, Fans of David, Snarky Archies

First, a special thank you to my wonderful friend Janey from Snarky Archies, whose idea it was to follow up on Michael’s story, and who was able to better phrase the questions asked. And a thank you on behalf of Michael, with all my heart, for all the prayers and well wishes from everyone.

When I wrote my concert recap, including Michael’s story about Northampton, MA it got such positive comments. So many were touched to read what David did for Michael. I get emails and comments in chat etc. asking how Michael is doing and this is a great way to get Michael’s perspective on the meeting and how he is doing now.

Q: We know you had a very touching and private conversation with David. Is there anything from the conversation you would like to share?

A: Essentially, I would share that David is exactly as you would expect him to be. He is completely without airs, is totally humble, and his ego seems pure and untouched by this whirlwind experience he is enjoying and will enjoy for years to come.

Q: How did you feel the day of the show, knowing you were going to meet David that night? Were you excited? Nervous? Tell us what was going through your mind.

A: Worried!!! If you recall, we had a dreadful snowfall with frigid temperatures and I wondered how my wheelchair would even make it to the front door. The venue seemed a little clueless about the whole thing when I arrived and so, in the back of my mind there WAS incredible anticipation and excitement over meeting David however, that was significantly clouded by the obstacles and intricacies involved in getting me in there. Luckily for me, Chris (Sheila’s husband) not only shoveled snow to make a “wheelchair way”, but he also orchestrated my getting up and down those *&*@! stairs…I’ll always be grateful to him for that. And to Sheila for all her behind the scenes work to try and make things go as smoothly as possible.

Q: What did you think of the show (solo tour Northampton, MA) ? How was David’s voice compared to his CD and hearing him on TV?

A: Unlike many artists, who sound good only in the studio, David sounded exactly like he does live and as he does on his CD when performing. Nothing could have pleased me more. I thought the show was awesome. I heard through the grapevine that David was in a great mood after the concert - some attribute that to our conversation - that may be. But I also think the crowd in NOHO responded to David in an incredibly exciting and grateful way, and that had to affect his mood as well.

Q: How did you feel when you first saw David walking towards you?

A: Because David is so unassuming and humble, I didn’t notice him until he was about three feet away from me, so I had no time for more than this thought: “OH MY GOD”. hehe
