As we all know, one of the projects David is supporting is THE PATHWAY OF HOPE for Rising Star Outreach.

The Pathway of Hope is a project that will raise money to provide classroom supplies and furnishings for a newly completed secondary school built for the children of the leprosy colonies of India.

A pathway of red brick stepping stones will wind throughout a beautiful garden next to the school. Each brick will be inscribed with words of encouragement and hope along with the names of those who generously donated then reminding the children and visitors of their love and support. The pathway will be a lasting tribute not only to the power of David’s inspiration, but the generosity of his big-hearted fans.

ANGELS FOR A CAUSE (AFAC) is reaching out to us through Larissa from Singapore to be a part of this project. There are still bricks to be bought. Each brick costs $50 (that’s about P2500). As a special bonus, those who donate at least $5 (P250) will receive a sky-blue bracelet with clouds that reads “Angels for a Cause: You Can Save the Day”

Realizing that it may not be easy for all of us to donate P2500 for one brick, or even P250 for a bracelet, we have come up with a way for everybody to have a chance to be involved in this project with a minimum donation of 25 pesos.

For every donation of 25 pesos you will be entitled to one (1) raffle ticket for the chance to win a bracelet.

Angels for a Cause has generously donated 30 bracelets for us to raffle off to help us raise funds to buy at least one brick. You can have more than one raffle ticket depending on how much you are willing to donate (ex: a donation of 50 pesos entitles you to 2 raffle tickets,etc). If we raise more than 2,500, we can donate more than 1 brick! If your total donation reaches P250 you are automatically entitled to one bracelet from AFAC and do not need to join the raffle anymore.

HOW TO SEND/GIVE DONATIONS

After you have sent your donation, you will have to text Ferj or Cheche the following information:

- Your full name, amount you donated, where (what establishment) you sent it from ( if you went to a gcash center) and the transaction number or receipt number (very important).

->If you’re a Smart subscriber, or any other phone service,  you can just go any GCash Centers.

2.  Deposit your donations to this bank account.

3. Give donations personally during GET TOGETHERS (GT)

Over the next few weeks we will be meeting regularly as we organize our christmas project.   With the deadline being Sept 13 then will be just 2 weekends.  But if deadline is extended then there will be more chances.

We do not have the bracelets yet.  We will receive the bracelets after we have sent the donation to AFAC. This will include also the bracelets of those who donated P250 or more. They will all be sent together to save on shipping fees. So, please be patient. Rest assured, that the bracelets will arrive. And besides, it is in the giving and not the receiving…isn’t it?

The deadline for the Project is Sept 15, but AFAC is trying to extend the deadline to October 15. But for now, let us consider the deadline as Sept 13 (we will need to send the money to RSO before actual deadline hehe). There is a deadline because if not enough money is raised in time, the children will have to be sent back to the leprosy colony. So we have to act fast. You can start donating right after you read this post!

Bracelets come in 2 sizes. The medium size is 7.5 inches and the large is 8 inches.
