Sweet David
This is one of the touching stories about David ive ever read. I found this at ArchuletaFanScene and made my heart tickle for David again! Take a read and find out why i called this article “Sweet David“.
IS DAVID REAL? That’s the question my son Michael (6 years old) asked me few weeks ago when we were watching David Archuleta’s summer tour videos from YouTube.
Last July 12, I sent a request to Bianca from Team Archie (24/7) through email to do the following:
1. print my letter to David
2. put it in an envelope
3. insert a returned envelope (with stamp)
4. write my return address, and
5. insert a blank A4 paper
Bianca was coming to M&G and watch David in Seattle (July 14) and she was very kind enough to do the things I’ve requested (or demanded 
). (Thanks a lot, Bianca!) To make the story short, I received David’s reply last July 24, Friday afternoon. I COULDN’T BELIEVE IT!!! My hands were trembling a little bit. I showed it to my three kids. Michael exclaimed, “Mama, David is really real?!” I guess he understood that David is really a person, not just someone he sees on computer screen. He understands the concept that someone is really a person or a live person when he/she sends a letter because he receives letters from his Auntie Baby in Chicago and from his Lola (grandmother) in the Philippines.
Then the next day, I showed David’s letter to Gaby, best friend of my daughter. Gaby is 13 years old. She screamed for two minutes reading then kissing the letter. She asked for a scanned copy so she could show it to her friends in school. She said that David is really COOL.
What can I say? David is a very nice young man. He cares about his fans. He took time to write something to me and my family
and it was so personal. I know he spends time reading all the fan letters, looking and appreciating the gifts from his fans, and replying to them. What a genuine, sincere, loving person! Can’t find enough words to describe him.
Please find attached scanned copy of the letter and the envelope. For someone like me who might not be able to have a chance to see him in person and hear him sing live, the letter means a lot to me and my family. We will treasure it. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, DAVID! God bless you!
