Sis & Eat Bulaga Guesting Confirmed

Sa May 12 na ang dating nina David Cook at David Archuleta para sa May 16, concert nila sa concert grounds ng SM Mall of Asia. May radio and TV promotion sila na exclusive sa GMA 7, pero sa SiS at Eat Bulaga na lang sila lalabas.

Sinabi ni Jomari Yllana ng Fearless Promotions kung saang hotel naka-billet ang two Davids, pero hindi na ipinasulat at baka dagsain ng fans ang hotel.

Two hours tatakbo ang concert at may tig-60 minutes sila to perform. May sarili silang band at technical writers at between 20 to 25 ang entourage ng bawat isa. Hindi sila gagamit ng same band at equipment.

Si Ronald Singson ang nakipag-negotiate sa management ng dalawa na package deal ang tawag ni Jomari sa concert ng dalawa.

Maganda raw ang benta ng tiket at mabibili ito sa Ticketnet at Ticketworld at P12, 426 (Titanium), P6,215 (Platinum), P3,625 (VIP), P2,075 (Gold), P625 (Silver), at P315 (Bronze). May upuan ang mga manonood except for the silver and bronze area.

Highlights for the non-pinoy readers:

-Arrival – May 12

-TV and Radio Guestings – Sis (Noon time talk show) & Eat Bulaga (Noon time variety show)

-Jomari mentioned the hotel where the Davids will be housed but requested not to have it published, otherwise the fans might hog him.

-Concert – Each artist will perform for an hour, and wit respective bands.

-Entourage – 20 to 25 peeps

-Fearless Productions – Ronald Singson – person who negotiated with the Davids’ management.

Hello everyone!

I got an email requesting that AP “make the posts about the May 16 event MORE exciting”, so forgive me if the previous AP’s posts bored you. lol! No hard feelings! The Filipino Archies ARE very very excited about this event, it’s just that we’re REALLY REALLY REALLY hoping the organizers would give equal billing to the both Davids especially since this event was advertised as a Back to Back concert. So, here’s to equal picture dimensions and font sizes! *cheers*

Also, we’re reallyyyyyy crossing our fingers and crying our heads off for a meet and greet, which we have no idea whom to coordinate with as our contacts have been tossing and passing us from one to the other like a volleyball. Let’s not lose hope, though. We know our David loves his fans, and anything can still happen. But whether or not a meet or greet happens, please know David, that hearing you sing to us live will already mean the galaxy to us! We, love you no matter what!

Yup, nothing is stopping us from getting all pumped and stoked and excited to see David! So, here’s a spam of pictures of the SM Complex (where the Concert Grounds is) to excite you, and make you proud to  be Filipino, and host this EPIC back to back event!

Disclaimer: I have been to the Moa Complex enough to be familiar with it, but mostly only in the stores, skating rink and the food shops at San Miguel by the Bay. But I DID my research and asked around a few people while I was there. So, although my info MAY not be accurate, it’s pretty reliable, lol!

The SM Mall of Asia mall grounds consists of four buildings interconnected by walkways; the Main Mall, the Entertainment Mall, and the North and South Carpark Buildings.

The Main Mall includes shopping and dining establishments and the food court. The Entertainment Mall is a two-story complex, a majority of which is open-air, facing Manila Bay.

The mall’s 5,000 parking spaces are divided across two, six-story parking buildings conveniently designated the North and South parking buildings. The South Parking building houses the mall’s official SM Department Store, while the mall’s supermarket, the SM Hypermarket is located within the North Parking building.

One of the mall’s somewhat-unique features is a 20-seater tram traveling around the mall grounds to ferry shoppers around.

Concierge desks are located in the Main Mall and the Entertainment Mall.

I’ve been here. I’ve stepped on this ground, lol, and I can’t see how they’d fit the proposed 80k and up here though. Unless we’re ALL standing. The “open grounds” is the vacant lot/parking lot behind SMX.

I was thinking the May 16 event might be held at the same spot the E-heads had their final set gig (shots above).

Archucook <3

Cookie talked to a radio station this morning and at 3:50 the DJ asked Cook about David and he said that they talk at least once a week, but Archie is making it hard for him because the “poor kid has had to change his number about once a week.”

“I always walk away from seeing him completely 10 times more appreciative of where I’m at… to see him, he’s a kid and he’s going through all this stuff… [Archie] handles it with such grace that people twice his age don’t have. I consider him a great friend and just a really a good person.”

Hello Pecan Pie & snarkies — minstrel here, team captain of the Proverbial Box Stands With David Cook team at SU2C. Just a shout out to congratulate you on what I’m pretty sure is your victory in the dedication challenge — by my calcs you’re well over $7K with this, maybe $8K (I lost track). Waiting on confirms from SU2C but our team logged $6200+ — which means together we’re in the $14,000 ballpark for the challenge. So amazing given the post-holiday cash crunch and bad economy. In addition I love your impressive overall SU2C total — DC fans have contributed about $15000 there among 3 teams, with PB as the largest, but most of our anti-cancer charity’s gone to the ACS, where there’s something like $48K to $50K in contributions for 2008.

It is thrilling to me to see the fans of both Davids take a stand like this and I know it has to be so gratifying to the guys as well. Looking forward to more opportunities for friendly competition in the years to come, for such a good cause.

You guys rock.
