David Archuleta @ Manila -- COS Book Signing
I totally forgot that I filmed the book signing! I missed the file cos I used my mobile phone to film this instead of a cam which I forgot to bring! If you are wondering how I got this vantage point, well, thank goodness I was wearing slip-on leather shoes cos I got to stand on my chair, LOL. After I got my book signed (my 3rd!) , I had to leave immediately cos I had to take Vee, an Archie from Australia to the airport. On my way out I met Mamang, the 88 yo Archie-grandma who is already a celebrity on her own right. Glad that she got to meet David again, woo-hoo!
David Archuleta @ Manila Book Signing -- VEE asking David
Towards the end of this video, you can see & hear Vee, a Pinoy Archie based in Australia asking David to sign -- aside from her COS -- a picture of her 6-yo handsome son holding a copy of Chords of Strength. David was surprised but Vee got her wish!

“Archuleta back for another concert”
Woot David is featured on Manila Bulletin
MANILA, Philippines — David Archuleta’s Twitter description, “I’m David. I like music.” is probably the understatement of the century.
As a boy, David says it was “Les Miserables” that inspired him to begin singing. Ten years later, still just a boy, he took his singing hobby to the hilt and captivated audiences the world over when he, then at 16, took the “Idol” stage and gave his all – landing the runner-up spot in “American Idol” Season 7 back in 2008.
Later the same year, he released a self-titled studio album which debuted at number 2 on the Billboard charts, kicking off with the hit single “Crush.” This was followed by 2009’s “Christmas from the Heart.”
Now 20, Archie is all grown up as a musician. He is coming halfway around the world to prove just how much so.
The balladeer hits Philippine shores once more for a one-night only solo concert on July 18, 8 p.m. at the Araneta Coliseum.
He will be sharing his first love to the Philippines for the third time, after two previous visits in 2009 and 2010. Get ready to hear David Archuleta’s new songs from his latest album, “The Other Side of Down,” including the hits “Something ’Bout Love,” “Elevator” and “Falling Stars.”
David Archuleta is brought to you by Ovation Productions and ETC, in cooperation with 2nd Avenue, Talk TV, Diva, Basketball TV, Solar, Jack TV, The Philippine Star, Business World, Edsa Shangri-La, Home Radio 97.9, Mellow 94.7, RX 93.1, RJ 100.3 and Optima Sign Solutions.

THE BIG DO’s & DON’Ts AT THE BIG DOME
I think it’ll be helpfull to know the Do’s and Don’ts on David Archuleta Live in Manila 3 inside The Big Dome. I run through this at the araneta coliseum’s website and I thought it be kind of cool to share this with ya’ll.
The concert will be a blast – for sure – but it would be even better to make it as hassle-free as possible. So take out your notebooks and brush up on the Big Dome’s ultimate DOs & DON’Ts.
1. DO Plan ahead on where to park or just take the train
It is best to take the train (MRT and LRT2) and hop off at the Araneta Center stations. The short walk will do you good and prep your energy for the concert. If you insist on taking a car, there are several parking places within striking distance from the Big Dome. Apart from Gateway or Ali Mall, there is the Manhattan Parking Building, the Shopwise parking area and open parking lots around the Big Dome.
2. DO Line up at 2pm at the earliest
The concert’s still at 8pm, but we know, it’s just TOO EXCITING TO WAIT THAT LONG! We encourage you to come early to beat the traffic, but if you insist on coming REALLY early, please be reminded that the line only starts at 2pm. Have lunch first, do some last-day rehearsals or see a movie! The Araneta Center has over 300 restaurants for you to choose from and the only real stadium-seating Cineplex in the country – so go ahead and start having fun even before the concert. You already have a ticket to the concert, you’ll get in FOR SURE even if you line up just in time.
3. DO Line up at the correct gate
For those with Patron, Lower Box, Upper A and Upper B tickets – you may line-up at the Red Gate (near North Park) or the Green Gate (near Starbucks). For those with General Admission tickets – kindly line-up at the Yellow Gate (near Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf).
4. DO Come in a comfy outfit and a light bag
There will be thousands of people at the Big Dome during the concert. And if you’re one of those fans who wants to lineup as early as 2pm, be sure to wear comfortable clothes and footwear to be ready for the crowd press, knee-slapping and foot-stomping. And for quicker bag inspection at the entrance, just bring the necessities! Besides, it’s best to jump, dance and enjoy the music without the hassle of uncomfortable clothes and a heavy bag, right?
5. DO Enter at only 6pm
All gates will only open at exactly 6pm. Should you be in line earlier than 6pm and need to go to the restroom, there is one located on the Ground Floor of Gateway. You may ask your friends/companions to save your spot, leave the line and head to the Gateway entrance near the Yellow Gate – just take the escalator going down and you’ll find the restrooms at the corner.
6. DON’T Buy tickets from scalpers
Scalpers are individuals who sell tickets for a much higher price – usually to the highest bidder. Please remember that scalping is illegal and punishable by law. If a scalper approaches you, or if you witness any scalping activities, please report it to the nearest guard or staff of the Araneta Coliseum.
7. DON’T Bring in food and drinks
You may buy food and drinks outside the Big Dome while waiting in line, but these will no longer be allowed upon entering the gate. Don’t worry – various concessionaires are available inside the Big Dome, on every floor, near every section.
8. DON’T Leave the Coliseum once you enter
Even if you have your ticket with you, re-entry is strictly not allowed. Please make sure to bring everything you need upon entering the gate. For smokers, a separate area will be available beside the Red Gate and Green Gate.
9. DON’T Bring professional still and video cameras
DSLRs and video cameras are strictly prohibited and will be confiscated at the entrance.
On the other hand – point-and-shoot, simple digital cameras and phone cameras are allowed. Just bring these types and take as many pictures as you want!
Lastly…
10. DON’T FORGET TO HAVE FUN!!!
That’s the most important rule
Possible DALIM3 in Cebu, And Other Cities?
Just wanted to update you guys about David Archuleta Live in Manila 3. I got an email again from Ovation Productions just about 15 minutes ago. They said that they are now considering bringing David Archuleta to Cebu and other key cities after Manila.
That means, if you live in Cebu, there’s a big chance that you see David Archuleta perform there and save money for the plane ticket and accommodations going to Manila. Also, we are consistently battling for a meet and greet passes too, and it seems that everything is working fine, though I have not gotten a confirmation yet. And I surely let you know once I got the answer.
On the email that I got from Ovation Productions they asked me this question. Help us get the answer; let us know what’s your thoughts Archies.
Can you suggest what other places aside from Cebu will David be most welcome…and do you know people in those places who can be helpful? Thanks.

DALIM 3 – CONFIRMED!
Let me share with you the joy that I am feeling right now . Remember when I told you guys that a team of AP peeps and I are in constant communications with Ovation Productions? Just so you know, after the DALIM2, we never ceased communicating with different production firms and provided them numerous reasons why it is a “must” to bring David Archuleta back in Manila. It even brought us to virtually meeting David’s agent from CAA, who has been responsible for his booking internationally. Today, I got an email from Ovation Productions and was told that they had confirmed the date for the David Archuleta Live in Manila 3.
Yes, you read it right! David Archuleta will be back in Manila for the third time. He will be performing at the Araneta Coliseum on July 18th. Producers has not provided the costs of the tickets yet, but one thing is for sure though, David is back in the Archuleta capital of Asia…Manila. It’s time to gather the Team Hotel and Team Airport once again guys, and make David’s return in Manila the best experience ever. hahaha.
You guys may read my email correspondence with Ovation Productions below by clicking the image. Let us all unite Archies. Let’s make David’s comeback in Manila a huge success just like what we did during his first and second visit. You guys should also watch out for the video blog that he will be making any moment today. Woooohhhooo!
Mabuhay Philippines!
