Encouraging News on the Canceled Shows

Well, as announced a few days ago, two shows on the Summer Tour have been canceled: Portland, Oregon and Louisville, Kentucky shows. See THIS post if you haven’t heard about it yet. So, when I checked AFS this morning, here’s what I found:

Fan Scene did a little investigating into the Demi Lovato / David Archuleta show cancellations and came up with some encouraging news!

We found out that David’s management is working to find alternate locations for David to HEADLINE ON HIS OWN to replace the shows that were canceled. So we just have to be patient.

There is no guarantee they will find new locations, but rest assured, Team David is trying their best to not disappoint!

***There you go. Ain’t that good? We have to pray for this, archies!! Let’s hope that there will some very good news, k? Thank you AFS!! Visit their site.

“He is so sweet! I’m so excited. We were both at Miley’s [Cyrus 16th] birthday party and I didn’t get to say hi then, because it was just a crazy party and everyone was everywhere. Torres in the Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock, and she plays Sonny Monroe in the Disney Channel Original Series Sonny With A Chance. Besides acting, she is also a solo music artist and released her debut album Don’t Forget on September 23, 2008. The album debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 selling over 89,000 copies in the first week. So is she a legit artist? Ask John Mayer, who has been publicly Twittering with her and singing the praises of this young singer/songwriter. MTV reports the following:

Mayer tweeted that Demi’s song “La La Land” is “sophisticated.” “You’re going to make lots of records, I can tell,” he added. “Write one song at a time, never apologize for any of them, ever. From ‘Wonderland’ to Trio stuff, they’re all my kids.”

The 16-year-old seemed very excited by this very public compliment. “Holy crap. Thank you. You’re so awesome,” she wrote to him. “That is quite possibly the best compliment I’ve received in this business. … If that’s not inspiration, then I don’t know what is! You’re incredible.”

Back in January, before all these tweets, Demi actually told MTV News that she will be taking a page from the John Mayer playbook for her next album, due out this summer. “It’s going to take a different sound, so hopefully it goes over well,” she said. “I sing a lot of rock, but this time I want to do more John Mayer-ish type of songs. Hopefully, I can write with people like him. I love their music – it would be amazing.”
