The Return Of “Archie”: Last season’s David Archuleta returned to the Idol stage to sing “Touch My Hand” from his new album. The runner-up from last season, Archuleta looked great on stage and showed off his incredible vocal range. The 18-year-old, whose rendition of “Imagine” was last season’s highlight, is now embarking on a European tour to promote his album.

The Gracious: After singing, Archuleta walked over to Desai and Iraheta, who was not eliminated, but was in the bottom three, and told them that their journey doesn’t end here if eliminated. Archuleta, incredibly genuine and humble, showed some class when he could have easily used all of his airtime to promote his album.

David Archuleta “Touch My Hand” Video

David Archuleta has really grown as a performer since his days on American Idol. He was such a timid, uptight (but incredibly talented) kid and I think that it ultimately cost him the competition.

I like the fact that he chose to release “Touch My Hand” from his debut, self-titled album. It really captures how fans feel at concerts and I really love that he included “fan moments” in the video. The only problem now, of course, is that female fans are really going to go out of their way to try to touch his hand at his shows! I hope he’s having fun. He’s young, talented, cute and on his way to great success. Enjoy the ride, David!!!

David Archuleta Drops Positive Message For AI Hopefuls

Last night’s double elimination on American Idol sent Lil Rounds and Anoop Desai packing…

But David Archuleta had their back. The prince of the runner up crew performed, “Touch My Hand,” and had a positive message for the contestants. The Honduran star wanted to remind everyone that you don’t have to claim the winning title to graduate to idol status. Claro, he started giving David Cook a run for his money the minute they wrapped season 7! The “Crush” singer also reminded audiences about his UK tour starting Friday and his upcoming U.S. tour featuring Demi Lovato.

David revealed Anoop and Allison as his fave hopefuls. Check his message to them:

I just want to say you both have awesome voices. There are so many opportunities after this. Just know that it’s not over even after this. I’ve been having such a great time. There are a lot of people who didn’t have to go all the way to really live their dream.

Tonight was my brother’s prom!

The Story

Days before prom night…

My brother was tasked to make a video for their batch pictures to be shown on prom night. He asked my opinion on what song he should use. Of course I suggested David’s songs. Crush was my first choice. He complained and I said “Well you wanted my opinion so you’re getting it”. Haha

The next day he asked me again. I told him my answer remained the same. If he wasn’t gonna use David’s song then my lips are sealed. Anyway my mom overheard our conversation and suggested a song. My brother rejected the idea because it was umm a not so recent song. Then mom said “what about crush?”(yay mom! *me nodding in the background*). My brother then said that he didn’t want to use a song that kept  playing on repeat at radio stations. So I suggested touch my hand. Mom said it was perfect! Haha. My 7-year-old sister butts in and started singing the song. So in the end he really did use touch my hand.

Yay! Woot2x!

Prom Night

So then after prom my brother tells me that the other batch of clips he gave his classmate to finish for another video used another David song. It was Crush! Haha.

Triple Threat of Triple Treat?

Three singles for ARCHIE!!!

ARCHIE is all over the Philippine radios!!! It is undeniable as various stations are playing THREE of his songs.

CRUSH is a smash hit as it receives massive airplay in almost all the radio stations in our country. Meanwhile, TOUCH MY HAND is climbing the charts of radio stations. Finally, A LITTLE TOO NOT OVER YOU debuts in RX 93.1, few hours after, it landed to fifth spot of RX daily survey.

I realized this only this dawn as I accidentally turned on both my portable radio and the radio on my phone. ARCHIE’s songs were played in different stations. RX played ALTNOY, Magic played TMH and WRR played CRUSH…

This serves as a TRIPLE THREAT for ARCHIE’s nemesis and TRIPLE TREAT for his supporters. It is undeniable that ARCHIE fever heats up in the PHILIPPINES!
