New Vlog

After waiting for the right time, David has a new vlog!!! He talked about the Myrtle Beach concert, his activites in Utah, and the songwriting meeting in Nashville. He also mentioned the musicians that he saw at the CMT Awards like The Civil Wars, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, and even Ludacris. He met  AI alums like Scotty and Lauren, Crystal Bowersox, and Casey James. After the battery died, he talked about some of his family coming over. Check out the close-up vlog below:

Back in Nashville again. Went to the CMT Awards last night which was really cool! A really laid back and comfortable vibe there with everyone. The show in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina was great! Meeting with writers and other meetings to get a feel for people and to make the music more meaningful

Best of luck to Scotty and Lauren tonight! Cool how they are just 16 and 17. It’ll be fun to watch. Also talked about singing at the Dodgers game last week, and the upcoming show this Saturday in Myrtle Beach. First full band show of the year! Performing in Manila, Philippines July 18th too!! Really looking forward to it!

David Archuleta – Rockin’ To the Beat of His Own Piano

In David Archuleta’s most recent video blog, he talked about his band auditions, plans on getting more involved with them and his ambition to try and put on the best show possible for his fans. As interesting as it was listening to David discuss the beginning stages of building that foundation and his hope to learn more languages, the most intriguing part was the unexpected jam session David put on.

David commented that now that he was back home, he would be concentrating on writing more music. He announced that he was sitting by his piano, and started playing a catchy melody right on the spot. He continued on with his new sound for minutes while singing a few incomprehensible lyrics, letting the music flow right from his mind straight to his fingertips. When the music began, it was almost as if he completely forgot he was in the middle of making a video blog. You could see the wheels turning and the creative juices flowing as David sat there playing his new tune, a pensive look on his face, concentrating strictly on the music, and the pure joy he got from doing just that was obvious on his face.

For the first time, we were able to get a glimpse of David at work, letting us in on his attempt at trying to figure out “David”. Watching him as he sat in the very spot where he sang “A Thousand Miles” a few years back, knowing that’s where he came from and here he is now, writing and composing his own music as he tries to figure out the next step in his career. Watching him break out of his shell and take a risk with his own music as he let his shields down and played us his fresh music ideas. It was truly a raw and so inspirational moment as we witnessed David doing what he loves most.

Happy St Patrick’s Day! Sorry this is such a dumb blog but I didn’t have as much time to go back and redo it so this was just the first take. Songwriting has been cool and just meetings coming up this next week. Good times.

Decided to do this video blog outside. Went snowboarding this week and it was awesome! Sorry I kept getting distracted by the cat. He’s a cool cat though. Also just went over the challenge last week of trying different foods.

Happy Halloween!

Sorry that it’s been so long since I’ve made a blog! Just giving you a quick update though… or maybe it’s not so quick haha. Spending time with the family! Was in DC last weekend and headed to Cali next week. Had a fun time at Disneyland with the sisters a couple weeks ago, and had fun at corn mazes this week too. Let me know what you guys are dressing up as for Halloween!
